Christine Manwiller is a book conservator and artist in the Washington, DC area.

CM Conservation offers book and paper conservation services, specializing in rare books, leather, and parchment repair.

CM Conservation offers consultations for preventive conservation in private collections and provides custom enclosures. Come see her work in person at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town Alexandria, Studio #340.

Christine graduated from the Garman Art Conservation Department at SUNY Buffalo State College with an MA in Library and Archives Conservation. She also holds an MFA in book arts from the University of Iowa Center for the Book  in bookbinding and calligraphy. She worked as a conservation technician at the University of Iowa Library conservation lab, and completed internships at the Yale University Library and the University of Washington Library. She completed her third year internship at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC. Prior to graduate studies she completed a BA in art history with minors in studio art and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, also completing a one year certificate in art conservation at the Lorenzo de' Medici Institute in Florence, Italy.
